Responsible gambling
Gambling should be entertainment, never a way to make money or escape problems. If it stops being fun, it's time to stop.
Know the signs
Chasing losses, betting more than you can afford, borrowing to gamble, hiding your play, or feeling anxious about it are all warning signs. Gambling can be addictive.
Stay in control
Set deposit, loss and time limits before you play and stick to them. Take regular breaks. Never gamble with money you need for essentials, and never while impaired.
You must be of legal age
You must be at least 18 — or the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. Check that online gambling is legal where you live before playing.
Where to get help
Free, confidential help is available. Contact BeGambleAware (begambleaware.org), GamCare, or Gamblers Anonymous. Most casinos also offer self-exclusion and cooling-off tools — use them.
